1.) Senior Level - Certification & Accreditation Analyst - Minimum/General Experience: COACT is looking for a senior-level Certification and Accreditation (C&A) analyst with six to ten years of demonstrable C&A experience with NIST-based certifications for civilian federal agencies. The successful candidate should be able to work in a team environment while capable of leading tasks independently with minimal to no supervision. Must be able to perform under tight timeframes and should have experience and in depth knowledge of all deliverables associated with a typical C&A package (including, but not limited to, development of System Security Plans, Security Categorizations, Business Impact Analysis, Contingency Plans, Security Assessment Reports, Security Test and Evaluation Plans and execution, Privacy Impact Assessments, Configuration Management Plans, and POA&M activities). The senior-level C&A analyst must be familiar with FISMA and the relevant guidance issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) (i.e. SP 800-37, SP 800-26, SP 800-53, SP 800-53A, and SP 800-34) as well as Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Publications. The senior-level C&A analyst should have a clear understanding and practical knowledge of security architecture, security policies and best practices, and security capabilities of leading operating systems/platforms. Certifications such as the CAP or CISSP are required. Applicants must either possess an active clearance or be clearable and must have completed a successful background investigation with at least one federal agency. Senior-level C&A analysts must possesses a Bachelors Degree or higher from an accredited college or university in computer science, networks, IT, or science. Five years subject-appropriate experience may substitute for degree. Current work location is from COACT’s offices in Columbia, MD. Expected travel requirements are minimal. All personnel must be U.S. Citizens and will be hired as fulltime COACT employees.


2.) Mid Level - Certification & Accreditation Analyst - Minimum/General Experience: COACT is looking for a mid-level Certification and Accreditation (C&A) analyst with three to six years of demonstrable C&A experience with NIST-based certifications for civilian federal agencies. The successful candidate should be able to work in a team environment while capable to conduct tasks independently with minimal supervision. Must be able to perform under tight timeframes and should have experience with all deliverables associated with a typical C&A package (including, but not limited to, development of System Security Plans, Security Categorizations, Business Impact Analysis, Contingency Plans, Security Assessment Reports, Security Test and Evaluation Plans and execution, Privacy Impact Assessments, Configuration Management Plans, and POA&M activities). The successful candidate should be able to work in a team environment while capable to conduct assigned tasks with supervision and support. Must be able to perform under tight timeframes and should have experience or familiarity with most or all deliverables associated with a typical C&A package (including, but not limited to, development of System Security Plans, Security Categorizations, Business Impact Analysis, Contingency Plans, Security Assessment Reports, Security Test and Evaluation Plans and execution, Privacy Impact Assessments, Configuration Management Plans, and POA&M activities). The junior-level C&A analyst must be familiar with FISMA and the relevant guidance issued by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) (i.e. SP 800-37, SP 800-26, SP 800-53, SP 800-53A, and SP 800-34) as well as Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) Publications.
