COACT wins contract to develop a Protection Profile (PP) for the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The National Information Assurance Partnership (NIAP) defines a PP as "an implementation-independent specification of information assurance security requirements." The USDA PP will be used to perform conformance assessments under the authority of the USDA for technology-based systems used in the grading of various commodities.
