SCAP Compliance Testing

NIST has developed an SCAP product compliance testing program. The Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP) is a method for using specific standards to enable automated vulnerability management, measurement, and policy compliance evaluation (e.g., FISMA compliance). As of February 1, 2008, government systems must use SCAP validated tools for FDCC software acceptance testing and continuous monitoring of systems.

The COACT CAFE Lab is a third party independent testing facility accredited by the National Voluntary Laboratory Accreditation Program (NVLAP) to perform SCAP compliance testing.
